RUGBY - BRONZE
Canada’s women’s rugby sevens team has defeated Colombia 24-19 to win the bronze medal at the Youth Olympic Games.
Tries were scored by Madison Grant (1 try) and Taylor Black (2 tries) in the first half. In the second half, Colombia tied the game 12-12 and pulled ahead.
Canada was able to come back and win the game with Grant scoring another try along with Carmen Izyk.
This is Canada’s second medal in women’s rugby sevens. The sport debuted at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games where Canada won silver.
