YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES

RACHEL KRAPMAN - BRONZE

Rachel Krapman won bronze in the mixed team tournament on the final day of judo competition at Buenos Aires 2018.

To encourage mutual respect and understanding between judo athletes at the Youth Olympic Games, mixed teams were created with athletes from various countries working together. Named after Olympic host cities, teams were competing for a place on the podium.

As part of Team London, Krapman tied Team Rio de Janeiro for bronze behind gold medallists, Team Beijing, and silver medallists, Team Athens.

This is Judo Canada’s second medal at Buenos Aires 2018 after Keagan Young won bronze in men’s 81kg.
